BIOGRAPHY“Classic Jazz Visions: A Multimedia Journey Through Swing’s Golden Age”
Michael Persico & The Classic Jazz & Swing Orchestra Led by trombonist, vocalist, and educator Michael Persico, The Classic Jazz & Swing Orchestra brings the golden age of jazz to life through a stunning multimedia concert experience. A Berklee College of Music graduate (Magna Cum Laude), Persico has been a jazz fixture across Cape Cod and southern New England since the 1980s. His deep musical roots and charismatic crooning style culminated in the creation of Classic Jazz Visions in 2020—a concert series inspired by the legendary jazz photographer Jack Bradley, best known as Louis Armstrong’s close friend and documentarian. The show features hundreds of rare, evocative photographs of jazz icons like Armstrong and Duke Ellington, seamlessly woven into live performances by Persico’s powerhouse ensemble. The result is a one-of-a-kind journey through swing, nostalgia, and timeless artistry. |
